Chemicals in the Panic Society
The evil Chemical industry and the many toxic chemicals
manufactured in the 20th century was the result of evil
Capitalist exploiting the uneducated public. Toxic Chemicals were
used in clothing, transportation, energy, food production,
medicines, health, waste disposal, and in drinking water.
Your glorious leaders found out just how dangerous chemicals
could be. They also discovered that transportation accidents
involving chemicals could be life threatening. They also found
out that an industrial accident could cause a major disaster.
Here are just a few examples.
In Italy during the late 50s, a factory that was
manufacturing Hexachlorophene exploded. Huge quantities of Dioxin
were generated and released into the air. People got sick for
miles in all direction. The stuff poisoned the land for miles in
all direction. That land is still a desert today. Your Glorious
Leaders made it illegal to use or manufacture hexachlorophene
soon afterwards. The book "Silent Spring" was printed in order to
warn everybody about the dangers of making chemicals.
In Bipol India, an evil factory released a huge cloud of
toxic chemicals into the air. Thousands of people in nearby towns
keeled over dead in a matter of minutes, Many more suffered
severe lung damage. Many are crippled for life.
On October 23, 1989, in Pasadena, Texas, A Phillips
Petroleum Plastic plant exploded with the force of 10 tons of
explosive. A huge fire burned for hours sending up massive black
clouds of toxic smoke. More then 20 employees were burned to
ashes in the roaring blaze. Parts of this plant were found up to
6 miles away.
A few days later, in Grand Parie, Texas, another Plastic
plant exploded resulting in a huge fire that filled the air with
toxic smoke.
Transportation of chemicals was also very dangerous.
Example,
A small village and campgrounds was wiped out when a propane
tank truck exploded in Italy.
I-475 at I-75 in Michigan had to have a bridge replaced
after a double bottom gasoline tanker exploded into a huge
fireball. Such tankers were soon banned after much screaming by
our supporters.
The supertanker Exxon Valdez ran aground onto a reef in the
Gulf of Valdez in Alaska, March 24, 1989, spilling millions of
gallons of toxic crude oil. Hundred of miles of shoreline was
destroyed by this black toxic mess.
June 23, 1989, The tanker, World Prodigy, ran aground off
Newport, Rhode Island and spilled 420,000 gallons of toxic
heating oil. On the same day, a barge was split open in the
Houston Ship Channel and spilled 250,000 of toxic crude oil.
June 24, 1989, a tanker ran aground in the Delaware River
and dumped 300,000 of toxic industrial heating oil into the
water.
Jan 1, 1990, a pipeline under the Hudson between Staten
Island and New Jersey split open and gushed 567,000 gallons of
toxic heating oil into the river.
A storage tank along the Ohio River in the winter of 88 fell
apart spilling millions of gallons of heating oil in a great
flood into the river. Many communities for thousands of miles
downstream lost all of their drinking water supply for weeks
afterwards because the oil was getting into the treatment plant.
In early February,1990, the Supertanker American Trader tore
a three foot hole into its side with its anchor and dumped
290,000 gallons of toxic crude oil in the ocean off Huntington
Beach, California.
Chemical tank cars in death trains were another major
problems. They carried all kinds of nasty stuff that could spew
out hydrochloric acid, cyanide gas, hydrogen sulfide, dioxin, and
other deadly stuff. The Freeland train wreak made it clear
locally just how nasty things could get.
The Evil Farmers and their love for toxic chemicals.
Farming involved the use of all kinds of nasty chemicals.
Farmers are always using all kinds of fertilizers, pesticides,
and herbicides on the fields. In addition, those evil farmers
were using biological agents, hormones, and other nasty things on
their animals.
In the early 70s, Michigan Chemical put their toxic fire
retardant PBB into the same bags as Magnesium Oxide, an evil
chemical that was sold as a feed supplement to the Farm Bureau in
the southern part of the state. Soon afterwards, farmers started
having severe problems with sick dairy cattle. Even their
children were getting sick. The veterinarians could not find out
what was causing the problem. The County Extension Agents said it
was the evil farmers fault.
A lab worker was testing a milk sample for chemical
contamination. He carelessly left the machine on overnight. The
next morning, he found a squiggle on the chart where there should
have been a line. He decided to find out what caused it. Looking
into his research library, he found that the chemical PBB would
leave such a squiggle.
Now, your Glorious Leaders finally knew about the problem.
They quarantined all of the dairy farms. Thousands of cattle were
killed. Many of the evil farmers went bankrupt. Michigan chemical
was put out of business. Farm Bureau went into chapter 13. Today,
Michigan Chemical in St Lewis, Michigan, is a fenced in empty
mound of grass with warning signs all around it.
The worst thing about this is that many of the farms and
silos are still contaminated with this stuff. the evil Farmers
spread manure on the land which is contaminated with PBB. It got
into the corn. And, of course, the farmers were still milking the
sick cattle. That milk has been in all of the milk supplies in
Michigan. Every one of you has a detectable levels of PBB in your
body today.
Those evil farm chemicals are just plain toxic. Some such as
Ammonium Nitrate are also explosive. Many of the chemicals are
getting into the water supply or are ending up in the air. Some
such as the methane that is generated by the manure of animals
are poisonous, (three farmers died from exposure to the manure
pit), flammable, and contribute to the "Greenhouse effect".
There was also a great panic started in January of 1990 when
some researchers announced that they had detected antibiotics,
growth hormones, sulfa drugs, DST, and other chemicals that were
used in the dairy cattle industry in the milk that they produced.
This occurred at a time when milk prices were high. On CNN
Crossfire, one of our heros raised a big scare over this issue,
with others and caused further panic and consumer boycotting of
milk and milk products. The US Food And Drug adminstration
claimed that after extensive testing that the milk supply is
safe. However, we refused to believe such lies and called it a
coverup to the contamination problems in milk.
Home use.
In the effort to "Keep up with the Joneses," many home
owners are resorting to trying to have the lushist, greenest,
lawn around. In this quest, they apply all kinds of fertilizers,
pesticides, and herbicides. Often, they ignore the directions on
the container. They either apply too much, get the stuff on their
skin, inhale the fumes, or carelessly dump the leftovers down the
drain.
Even worse is when they put the stuff into pop bottles,
fruit jars, or left it laying around. Their kids soon get into it
and end up poisoned from drinking the stuff.
Locally, a Frank Nursery store was evacuated and a special
trained crew of toxic chemical specialist had to be called in,
when an employee accidentally knocked off two bottles of
pesticide from the shelf and they were broken. Those chemicals
were on display for the customer to purchase and use at home.
We made sure that there was extreme panic over the use of
lawn chemicals by those evil Spray a Lawn services.
To put an end to this threat, we told people to cut up their
Exxon credit cards. The Bipol accident should have put the
chemical industry in bankruptcy. Of Course, Michigan Chemical is
no more. We warned everyone about the dangers if demolition and
disposal of the rubble and scrap metal from the factory. As a
result, the site is permanently off limits. (no kidding) There
was even an investigation of the Phillips Petroleum explosion.
We warned people about the use of chlorine and Fluorine in
water. We argued that those chemicals were poisonous. A long term
research study caused further panic on fluoride when we found out
that 4 of their male rats developed bone tumors after consuming
megadoses of fluoride in water over a 2 year period.
Your Glorious Heros Bill Clinton and Al Gore successfully
got rid of those evil chlorine chemicals once and for all during
the wondrous 1990s.
In the Panic Society, there are no chemicals in use. Only
those chemicals that are absolutely necessary to manufacture the
silicon rubber used in the Super Safe Homes, the fuel cells, and
Hydrogen production are tolerated. That production is done miles
away from any Panic Society residents.
